I have a TEP for about 20 years now. There is granulation on fistula and I am wondering if it would be possible to remove it without damaging the puncture sight.

Melissa Kim, M.S., CCC-SLP writes...
There are many options for addressing granulation tissue at the puncture site, including  conservative measures such as prosthesis modification to more invasive procedures such as surgical or laser resection.  Consult with an experienced speech pathologist and head and neck surgeon for recommendations.
Best of luck to you,
Melissa Kim, M.S., CCC-SLP
